What type and grain .338 do you use? I'm a .338 RCM guy. I'm loaded with 225 gr Hornaday Interbond for my current moose hunt. I have not tried this round on a moose. But I killed my last moose with a .270, so no worries. My RCM hits a bit less ...

OK, gotcha. Great country that. On Tyone River, between Tyone Lake and Tyone Creek, there is a spot the locals call "broken canoe". Below that spot is generally seen as inaccessible by paddling (or at least a heckuva lot harder). Not all those ...

FamilyMan My neighborhood cow hunt starts tomorrow. Area is just North of the little su; just a mile North of here. My 9 year old helper and I will begin hunting tomorrow - after school. I have a full 4 weeks, so no big hurry yet.

Can you tell me; was that picture taken within about a half mile of a round approx 24 inch bright orange bouy marking an infamous rock that is often right at water level? If I'm wrong on your location then you're most likely past the buoy I ...

Yeah good lesson for me to learn. My 338 inside of 100 yards tore shit up. Runner, should have led it more.

This is the smallest red I've ever caught. And the only dip net fish I got this year since I missed Kenai while I was down below on business. Tried to let it go but it was dying. Right after I caught a humpy. Ah...Kasilof, it used to be fun.

Tim Heading to Kasilof north beach today. Haven't got a chance to do any dipping yet this season. Kenai hit it largest spike yesterday at 68K fish. Might be the slug we were looking for and half thinking an EO will open it up again.

FamilyMan I've heard from many that there is a record run afoot, or at least was. It idled out in the inlet instead of proceeding to and upriver; hanging about where the commercial guys can get'm. I still expect a large slug to hit. When? Got me. It shoulda been here already.

Tim I am thinking that too. Only seen a 64k run. Should be sometime above 100k. Question is will they extend dipping on the Kenai?

Tim King escapement is low. 3 new EO's today shut retention of Kings, in the Kasilof, Kenai, and cook inlet. Set netters are shut down. Drifters pushed further out away from shore. Might be good time to try dipping for reds now since we haven't seen the slug yet.

Tim 37K today. Still no slug. Very strange they should have hit by now. I know the comms were out but they wouldn't have chocked off that many

Tim 44K fish passed the Kenai yesterday. Not the slug. However the comms are being let out today so dipping will be difficult.
